My Idea for Songs of a Forgotten World was an alien planet that has been quarantined by an intergalactic government to contain the spread of a disease. Both humans and different species of alien live on the planet with the disease affecting different species differently. Some species are even  a-symptomatic but still confined to the planet regardless because they can still spread it. 

On the journey the player meets a quirky alien named Spog, whose upbeat attitude contrasts the depressing setting. Although the planet has been quarantined, much of the planet still maintains a natural beauty in areas unaffected by the disease.

To represent Spog's personality, I created a plucky synth in Vital for the first track, and then altered it for the second track as the duo make their way through a run down town full of illness. I also reused and developed some melodic material for his identity.

I started the Main Theme in Dorian emphasising the natural 6 for a slightly brighter colour, and then lowered it to show the darkness of the world before bringing the natural 6 back to show the world isn't without hope. The second track stays in minor to reflect the much darker setting.
